Apply for a Scholarship
A limited number of scholarships will be available for current dues-paying members of NMAC. Scholarship applicants can select from either:
Option A: Registration Only
Option B: Registration, $100.00 travel subsidy and two nights lodging at the official conference hotel
Information provided on your submission is NOT confidential and will be shared with a committee that reviews all requests.
Scholarship recipients who qualify for Option B will receive the travel subsidy on site when they register for the USCA. NMAC will make a hotel reservation for each Option B scholarship recipient. To receive the two complimentary nights of lodging at an official conference hotel, recipients must confirm their arrival and departure dates as well as provide a credit card guarantee upon notification of scholarship acceptance.
Though all staff members, directors and volunteers who meet the above criteria are invited to apply, only one scholarship per agency will be awarded. Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, geographic distribution and population(s) served. Also considered are the skills the participant will be able to use in his/her agency and community. Applications will be accepted from current dues paying members of NMAC only. Scholarship applicants with questions about their membership or constituency status should contact NMAC prior to returning this form.
USCA HIV50+ Strong & Healthy scholarship program. Scholarships will be awarded to HIV peer educators and service providers who work with aging (50 and older), HIV+ populations. Candidates must be affiliated with a community-based organization, healthcare provider, health departments or support group that works directly with aging, HIV+ populations. Geographic diversity is important and the program has a special focus on the South and urban regions where HIV disproportionately impacts aging, HIV+ communities of color. Scholarship open to U.S. residents only. NMAC will award 50 scholarships with a limit of one scholarship per agency. The scholarship covers: Registration, 5 nights of hotel & coach ticket to Washington, DC and per diem. The HIV50+ scholarships will be reviewed and scored by an NMAC internal committee.
Applying for the HIV50+ Scholarship
Be affiliated or work for a community-based organization, HIV healthcare provider, health department, or lead a support group that serves aging, HIV+ people of color.
Strong ties to the HIV community and working experience in the HIV field.
Be committed to follow-up after the conference on HIV50+ local activities
Be committed to be engaged with and participate fully in the USCA program and activities exclusively assigned to the scholarship recipients.
